Installing Komplete 5 Sample Libraries

Direct Install works by transferring data from your factory DVD’s over an ethernet connection to Receptor.

BecauseEthernetismuchslowerthanthecommunicationbusinsideyourcomputer,ittakesmuchmuch longer

to install data this way.

Kompete5shipson12DVDs,andmostofthesearesampledata.That’salotofbitsandbytestotransmitover

ethernet.Alltotalled,itcouldeasilytakeover24hourstoinstallalltheselibrariesonReceptor!

This is why we recommend that, during Komplete 5 installation, you do not install any sample libraries. But,

nowthatyou’veinstalledalltheplugins,it’stimetostartinstallingthelibraries.Becauseoftheextremeamount

oftimerequired,MuseResearchrecommendsthatyouonlyinstallonly1libraryatatime.Here’show:

1 Launch Receptor Remote Control and follow the steps outlined in “Launch Direct Install” earlier in this

document.

2 Continue following steps 1-4 as outlined in “Installing Your Komplete 5 Plugins” earlier in this document.
